Luthful Karim, first opened The Taste of India in Ash Vale, Hampshire
in 1989 and his 40 seater restaurant has been immensley popular ever since. Mr Karim doubles his restaurant work with his BCA activities and also a very active life in th local community, supporting the local Muslims and raising money for a range of charities.

The restaurant is well decorated in a spice theme with striking murels to catch the eye. The menu includes all the favourites requested time and again by the regulars plus a few 'specials' introduced by Chef Uddin.

The mixed starters were very interesting and well spiced including two dishes prepared with cod roe which worked well. The main courses included our favourite Sag Ghosht and a very adventurous Chef's Special featuring chicken, lamb and prawns in a special sauce. Mr Karim seems to know everyone who enters the restaurant and it is obvious that the restaurant is a well established fixture in the community. Mridula Baljekar has already been the start at several very successful Food Festivals at the restaurant with four more to come this year - all fully booked.
