Relentless fund raiser, Luthful Karim of Taste of India Restaurant in Ash Vale, has been honoured in a gala ceremony in London on Monday 17th June during the Best in Britain (BIBA) Awards 2002. Mr Karim was highly praised for his various charity works and called to receive - The Certificate of being one of the top four charity activist in thecountry.


During the past years Mr Karim has raised thousands of pounds for a number of international, national and local causes. Amongst the beneficiaries of his works are Save the Children UK, Cancer Trust, Famham Hospital, Chelsea Pensioners, Make a Wish Foundation and many others. Mr Karim's latest project is a purified water supply system in his home village, Nimadhal in Bangladesh.


In his acceptance speech Mr Karim thanked the organisers and said "In fact this honour and recognition belongs to a whole range of people from all walks of life, I am just an active part in a web of most dedicated and generous people without who's support and encouragement no work would have been possible". He added; "my sincere gratitude to all the people involved and I look ahead to carry forward the task with even more dedication"
